Echo Magic Post is in the business of sound. We operate a boutique audio post-production service catering to media-creators, agencies, and film-makers. We help storytellers convey their unique vision by providing creative, seamless and professional audio post production services. We work on sound design, editing and mixing for narrative and documentary films, branded content, advertising, web, and immersive audio.
We believe that personal relationships are at the heart of our work, especially when the task at hand is collaborative. These attributes fulfill our own niche in the studio landscape. In a market where many media creators jump from post-house to post-house looking for the flavor of the day, we take the long view, establishing relationships that will build upon both our client’s and our own productions over time.
Chief Audio Engineer, Scott Hirsch owns and operates Echo Magic Post. Scott has over 20 years of studio experience, countless music and film credits to his name. He received his bachelor of arts from UCSB in film studies, and attained a master’s degree in sound for film and video, and audio technologies at NYU where he is currently an adjunct professor. Scott began his career in San Francisco, at the Bay Area Video Coalition, a media arts center as staff audio engineer, and quickly transitioned to engineer in a fast-paced advertising audio house in New York City.
As a sound designer he has worked along with a large array of creative directors and producers, as he sound designed, edited and mixed film festival award winning films, commercials, branded content, documentaries, web, and immersive audio. As a music producer and recordist, he has engineered and mixed countless records, receiving a Grammy nomination, and winning an ARIA for producing, among many others.
Scott has the unique capacity to distill all of this experience into each and every session where he provides technically astute, yet creatively deep skillset to deliver unique and great sounding audio.
Operations Manager, Daniel Wright ensures every project at Echo Magic Post flows seamlessly from start to finish. Specializing in client communications, project coordination, and delivering on time and on budget, Daniel is dedicated to making the post-production process effortless for clients.
A Berklee College of Music graduate with a focus on performance and composition, Daniel brings a rich musical background to the team. Having performed professionally since the age of 18, he has also composed music for advertising, podcasts, and film scores. This unique blend of artistic and organizational expertise allows Daniel to approach every project with creativity, clarity, and care.
